Preferences: Controls¶
Me → Preferences → Controls lets you change the keyboard keys and mouse buttons for moving, the camera and other actions.
- Pick a mode from the list at the top. Slipstream uses different keys depending on what you're doing: When in third person, When in first person mode (Mouselook), When editing avatar and When sitting.
- Double-click an action's key in the list.
- Press the key (or mouse button) you want. Set Empty removes the key, Default puts the standard one back, and Apply to all uses your choice in every mode.
Restore Defaults resets every mode to the standard keys.
Several actions can share one key; they all happen together. Keys used by menu shortcuts can't be bound here.
If you're moving from another viewer, the importer can bring your key bindings over.
Advanced
Debug setting ControlsAllowSharedBindings: on (default) lets several actions share a key. Off:
binding a key removes it from the action that had it.
