FAQ

Is Slipstream safe to use on my main account? It's a normal third-party viewer that follows the Second Life third-party viewer policy. It's beta software, so expect bugs, but it doesn't do anything a regular viewer doesn't.

Why Vulkan only? The whole point of Slipstream is a GPU-driven renderer; that design needs a modern API. The legacy OpenGL pipeline is retired.

Does it work on macOS? Not yet. Linux and Windows are supported.

Can I run it alongside Firestorm or Alchemy? Yes. Slipstream keeps its settings and cache in its own folders.

Is it open source? Yes, LGPL 2.1, like the viewers it's built on. The source is on our git server.
