World map and minimap

World map

Open it with World → World map or Ctrl+M. Scroll to zoom, drag to move around.

Finding places:

  • Regions by Name: type a region name and click Find.
  • Online Friends: pick a friend to show where they are (if they let you see them on the map).
  • My Landmarks: pick a landmark to show it.
  • Show My Location centres the map on you; Home teleports you home.

Click a spot on the map to select it, then:

Button What it does
Teleport Takes you there.
Copy SLurl Copies a link to the spot, to paste in chat or on the web.
Show Selection Centres the map on the selected spot.
Track Region Adds the region to the Region Tracker (below).

The clear button removes the tracking line and resets the map.

What's shown: the Legend explains the symbols (you, other people, infohubs, land for sale, your home). Under Events choose which event ratings to show (General, Moderate, Adult). Agent Count shows how many people are in each region.

You can hide the side panel with the button at its top edge.

Region Tracker

World → Region Tracker… keeps a list of regions you want to watch, with how many people are in each. Add a region with Track Region on the world map. Double-click a region in the list to open it on the map. Handy for checking whether a venue or event region is busy before you go.

Minimap

Open it with World → Mini-map or Ctrl+Shift+M. It shows the land around you from above, with dots for people (colours are set in Me → Preferences → Colors). Scroll to zoom. Double-clicking a spot teleports you there if Double click on land is set to Teleport to clicked point (Me → Preferences → Move & View); otherwise it opens the world map.

Right-click the minimap for options:
